MEET THE PARTNERS

Jen WINTER

Chief Executive Officer

Luke PETERSEN

Chief Operating Officer

The Kinlands Group, a hospitality group rooted in nature, is shaped by the partnership of Jen and Luke, two distinct perspectives brought together through a shared vision of creating spaces that feel meaningful and alive.

Jen sets the vision for The Kinlands. Her work begins with feeling. Before design, before structure, before decisions, she starts with the emotional tone of a space and how it is meant to be experienced. She cares deeply about how something feels to someone, and every choice is made from that place. Through Kinlands Hosted, a creative expression that lives within The Kinlands and House Kinlands, she brings that vision into form, shaping the design, texture, and sensory details that give each vignette its depth and resonance. Her work connects design to build, season to season, and what is old to what is becoming, translating the spirit of the land into environments that are both felt and lived.

Luke’s work is rooted in connection, both to people and to the land itself. He brings a natural ease in how people are welcomed, gathered, and engaged, creating an atmosphere where relationships form effortlessly and experiences are shared. At the same time, he holds the broader plan of The Kinlands, guiding how the land is received, moved through, and experienced over time. His work ensures that what is created feels cohesive and enduring, grounded in a sense of place that extends beyond production or profit and into something shared.

Together, their work creates a layered experience where vision, connection, and depth exist side by side. Jen defines what The Kinlands becomes and how it is felt. Luke shapes how people arrive, engage, and move through it. The result is an environment that is both welcoming and meaningful, where the experience unfolds naturally while holding a deeper sense of intention.

This collaboration carries through every part of The Kinlands. In the Shoppe, objects are chosen to feel seasonal, cohesive, and quietly evocative rather than purely functional. It carries through the atmosphere of the grounds, from the tone of the patch to the layered styling that unfolds through the holidays, and into the feeling of each stay at House Kinlands.

It is also felt in the land to table dining and hosted experiences, where each gathering is guided by rhythm, beauty, and sensory detail. In the venues and accommodations, this collaboration results in spaces that are already complete, thoughtfully designed so that what unfolds within them feels natural, elevated, and deeply personal.

At its core, The Kinlands reflects a partnership where people are drawn in with ease and met with something real when they arrive, where connection is immediate, and the experience itself carries depth.

Kinlands Hosted is the creative extension of The Kinlands, curating and designing immersive gatherings, spaces, and experiences where beauty, story, and atmosphere are intentionally brought to life.
